Biography
Ben is Founder of Performance Excellence Development, LLC whose mission is to make companies, teams and athletes better than they ever thought they could be using the Malcom Baldrige Performance Excellence Framework, American Association of Entrepreneurs Mentoring and United States Olympic Committee Quality (USOC) Coaching Framework.
Ben has delivered results for clients in healthcare, hospitality, real estate, consumer products and non-profit business in addition to individual and team sport athletes and coaches. By developing and implementing customized systematic process to fit the strategic advantages, challenges, and competitive situation that you face, Bens’ clients achieve the alignment, clarity, and improvement in the measures that matter most.
In Business, Ben has launched multiple companies and products by raising over $50 million in investor capital and generating record sales that lead to mergers and acquisitions. Ben is a member of the Malcom Baldrige Board of Examiners, was inducted into the American Academy of Entrepreneurs and a graduate of the University of Alabama Culverhouse School of Business.
As an athlete Ben won Gold at the 2001 World Water Ski Championships, 2002 Pan Am Championships and multiple Professional & National Championships setting several records. He is a certified Mental Toughness Coach, United States Olympic Committee Kids Coach and Program Director for Orlando Area Rowing Society.
He serves on the Board of the Orlando Area Rowing Society and has served on the YMCA of Central Florida and USA Water Ski Board and the USOC Athlete Advisory Council. Ben is currently the Nemours Children’s Hospital Institutional Review Board, ASTM Committees and Co-Chairs the Leapfrog Group Partners Advisory Board.
Ben has written two top selling books on water skiing and multiple articles in various areas of athletics, healthcare, environmental engineering, and healthcare worker safety.
